Instructions below refer to part
numbers listed on the Walther
PP exploded diagram. Please note the reference numbers
therein do not correspond with the part numbers in our online
catalogue.

STOP!
Always 'clear' and inspect gun to ensure ammunition is not
loaded or chambered before performing maintenance on this or
any firearm.

|
To strip, remove the magazine and empty the
chamber. Pull down the front end of the trigger guard (21) and push it to the right. It
will rest against the frame and remain open. Pull the slide (1) to the rear as far as it
will go. Lift up and ease it forward off the frame.

|
To remove the extractor (2) it is necessary to
depress the extractor plunger (3) well below the edge of the slide (1). Use a thin awl or
a jeweler's screwdriver as shown, and rotate the extractor toward the firing pin
|

|
After the extractor spring (4) and safety catch
plunger (5) have been removed, the safety catch (36) can be easily removed by first
rotating it to the off position. Then, while pushing the firing pin deep into the slide,
lift out the safety catch as shown.

The trigger bar (39) should never be pried out.
To remove it, first unhook the trigger spring (29) and push it into the frame. Pull the
trigger as far as it will go and, using a small screwdriver, lift the trigger bar free of
its slot in the frame.

5.

|
The magazine catch (26) is retained by the
trigger guard plunger (22). To remove it, first remove the trigger guard plunger (22) and
spring (23). The cocking piece (40) can be removed by rotating it as far as shown until it
drops free of the frame.
