numbers listed on the Webley
Mk. IV exploded diagram. Please note the reference numbers
therein do not correspond with the part numbers in our online
catalogue.

STOP!
Always 'clear' and inspect gun to ensure ammunition is not
loaded or chambered before performing maintenance on this or
any firearm.

Lift mainspring lever (24) from
notches in frame (18) and slide out to rear. Unscrew trigger
screw (27), and pull trigger and hand (21) downward from the
frame and separate. Unscrew hammer screw (26) and lift out
hammer.

Compress barrel catch spring (9)
against recoil shield (28) with padded pliers, meanwhile
unscrewing barrel catch screw (37). Slide barrel catch and
spring off to rear. Unscrew recoil shield screw (41), and drive
recoil shield out to left. Use pin punch to drive out bolt pin
(36). Bolt (33) and spring (35) fall free as punch
is removed. Reassemble in reverse.

Cutaway shows revolver with parts at
rest. Hammer is in rebound position, locked by mainspring lever;
cylinder is secured by bolt. One chambered cartridge lies under
the hammer. Forward portion of mainspring lever has been broken
away for clarity.
