Maxpedition Gearslingers

As with all Maxpedition gear, these 'one shoulder' backpacks all feature some of the toughest nylon in the world treated with Dupont Teflon Fabric Protector for maximum water, weather, and stain resistance. Ample modular attachment points for Maxpedition, MOLLE and ALICE type web gear are standard on all models along with quick release clips, zippers with paracord pulls, and more.

The Maxpedition GearSlinger series is the premium line of single shoulder packs that bridge the design/functional gap between their classic double shoulder strap backpacks and their uniquely innovative Versipacks. The single shoulder design allows faster on-and-off, particularly over LBV and body armor and are superior to backpacks in terms of balance and comfort when using a single strap.

Typhoon Gearslinger

The Typhoon GearSlinger (#0409) is a medium size single shoulder pack with over 900 total cu. in. of storage. The quick release padded non-slip shoulder strap has six rows of PALS webbing for attachment of accessories. The main compartment contains numerous internal accessory pockets. The lower of the two pockets in front has an organizer for pens and other small tools combined with an internal keyper. One side has an adjustable lid sheath and small square pocket while the other side is full of PALS webbing to attach accessories and bungee to secure longer pouches such as our #0207 Mini Rollypoly water bottle holder. The Typhoon has a Y-shaped top compression strap and two bottom compression straps. A top zipper lock device presents accidental or unauthorized opening of pack. A removal 1.5" adjustable waist strap provides additional support and security.

The Typhoon is compatible with hydration system up to 50oz reservoir (e.g. Camelbak PakTeen). It has a Velcro drink tube port and drink tube retainers on the shoulder strap. The hydration pocket is also equipped with loop side Velcro for attachment of our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories such as #3501 Universal Modular Holster.

Monsoon Gearslinger

The Monsoon GearSlinger (#0410) is Maxpedition's large size single shoulder pack with over 1600 total cu. in. of total capacity. The quick release padded non-slip shoulder strap has two separate sets of PALS webbing for attachment of accessories. Based on a triangular design, the main compartment contains numerous internal accessory pockets. There is a small internal pocket for iPod or Walkman with rubberized head-phone port.

The Monsoon's contents are protected by a padded front cover which is secured by a locking 2" Q.R. buckle while contents are secured by two criss-crossed compression straps. On one side there are three rows of PALS webbing over a flat concealed pocket while the other side sport a water bottle pocket capable of holding a 32oz/1L Nalgene. A 1.5" adjustable waist strap provides additional support and security; this waist strap can be stowed away in a built-in small elastic pocket. There are drain hole grommets throughout and three high airflow islands to keep your back cool.
