Maxpedition Versipacks
As with all Maxpedition gear, these 'Versipacks all feature some of the toughest nylon in the world treated with Dupont Teflon Fabric Protector for maximum water, weather, and stain resistance. Ample modular attachment points for Maxpedition, MOLLE and ALICE type web gear are standard on all models along with quick release clips, zippers with paracord pulls, and more.
Fat Boy Versipack
The Maxpedition™ Fatboy Versipack (#0403) is more than a durable, ergonomic shoulder sling pack; it is the state-of-the-art portable gear organizer that provides secured containment for and rapid accessibility of daily equipment. The versatile main compartment has a huge 156 cu. in. of space with a water-resistant storm collar that can be deployed by pulling a cord-locked drawstring. An array of integral fixed-position external pouches retains and indexes individual pieces of gear while two sets of nylon webbing anchors accommodate MAXPEDITION’s modular expansion accessories such as the CP-L Radio Holster. Each Fatboy comes with a tactile non-slip shoulder pad providing great comfort during extended use.
Jumbo Versipack
The long awaited JUMBO Versipack (#0412) fulfills the multitude of requests for (a) a larger Fatboy with more bells and whistles, and (b) an effective concealed carry system utilizing the Fatboy shoulder sling concept.
a) The JUMBO’s main compartment is over 50% larger than the Fatboy. In addition, it has three zippered accessory pockets, two sleeve pockets, and one drawstring pocket fitted for a 32oz/1L Nalgene water bottle or a radio. The Jumbo has four places for modular expansion with other Maxpedition accessories using Malice clips. External keyper on shoulder strap for gloves and internal silent keyper for keys. We also elected to use a 2” lockable main buckle.
b) The JUMBO’s rear slip compartment is now equipped with large loop Velcro patches to accommodate our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories (e.g. #3501 Universal Modular Holster, sold separately). This allows the user to position their concealed carry firearm for a quick strong side draw or weak side cross draw. capacity. The quick release padded non-slip shoulder strap has two separate sets of PALS webbing for attachment of accessories. Based on a triangular design, the main compartment contains numerous internal accessory pockets. There is a small internal pocket for iPod or Walkman with rubberized head-phone port.
Proteus Versipack
Named after a mythological character that could take on many shapes and forms, the Proteus Versipack (#0402) provides a herculean 285 cu. in. of organized storage space and can be worn like a fannypack, hand-carried, piggy-backed onto MAXPEDITION™ backpacks, or integrated onto ALICE or MOLLE webbing. Equipped with compression straps that snap into the integral handle to secure contents and three rows of nylon webbing attachment points to accommodate modular accessories, this is one piece of gear you must have before setting forth on your odyssey.
