Vankleek Hill Gun Club Annual Turkey Shoot - October 01, 2005

Congratulations to the winners of this year's annual turkey shoot! Three competitors took home a farm-raised turkey just in time for Thanksgiving, with other prizes awarded to high and low- ranking competitors. There was also a separate event for kids and prizes for them, too!

Prizes (which could only be won by members in good standing with a valid P.A.L.) included a Norinco JW-2000-410 coach gun in .410 gauge and a Norinco EM-332 .22 LR target rifle. Tickets for these prizes were $5.00 each or three for $10.00.

About the Shoot

Our target at this shoot was an especially challenging one which required our competitors to burst or remove all the paintballs with gunfire, then cut the wooden board in half (at any height). Only pistol calibre handguns with open sights were allowed, 100 round maximum. The top competitors who accomplished this with the least number of shots won prizes. Every time the target was hit it would spin wildly, adding to the challenge!

Our Event Coordinator (alias 'Ed the Alphabet') lived up to his reputation for developing targets that test our members' skills by coming up with an especially challenging target this year. Please note you may freely use our target design: in return we'd love to hear from you ( contact us to tell us how your shoot went!)
