Get ready for another fun 'meet and greet' and informal competition at the Vankleek Hill Gun Club! They're hosting another turkey shoot with fresh turkeys offered as prizes for the three top shooters. 'Ed the Alphabet' has as usual cooked up another challenge for our competitors - though those who aren't top notch shots can still win door prizes or enter the event's raffle for even more chances to win. Tickets to the event are only $10 each (free for children 12 and under).
Prizes (which can only be won by members in good standing who are in possession of a valid P.A.L.) include a Norinco JW-2000-410 coach gun in .410 gauge and a Norinco EM-332 .22 LR target rifle. Tickets for these prizes are $5.00 each or three for $10.00.
About the Club
The Vankleek Hill Gun Club is a non-profit organization wholly dedicated to the operation, maintenance, and promotion of an indoor target shooting range for its members. Its executive committee of unpaid volunteers is elected by its members on a yearly basis.
Club facilities include a heated indoor year-round shooting range for firearms, archery, and airguns, one firing point for centerfire (non-magnum) rifles, and nine firing points for pistol-calibre firearms.
Several events are hosted by the club each year. These are generally informal competitions involving innovative (though some say 'diabolical') targets often made of wood, foam, etc., a BBQ, and a meet-and-greet. Prizes are often available to be won both in the competition and as door prizes.
