The
legendary BREN gun hardly needs an introduction as it is the
single most famous magazine fed LMG ever produced (eclipsing
even the venerable American BAR in this regard). It is also the
most enduring mag-fed LMG ever devised, as it can still be
encountered virtually everywhere in the world in a variety of
different calibres.

No
WWII arms display is complete without at least one of these
famous and widely-recognized guns. Its presence on the set of
any movie featuring WWII Commonwealth troops is considered
mandatory, and its presence in any former British possession
following WWII can easily be considered appropriate.

|
The
longevity of the BREN design merely confirms the ingenious
nature of its innovative design. Amidst a plethora of
lightweight synthetic and alloy weapons designs, the BREN
soldiered on with the British army until well into the 1980's,
and can still be encountered in front-line service elsewhere in
the world. Purchasers may choose from British or Canadian
production.
