This
venerable firearm left such an impression upon the general
public that in some circles the term "Tommy Gun"
is used to describe any light handheld full-automatic gun
regardless of its origin. From its beginnings in the roaring
twenties to this, its final incarnation as armament for the
armies of freedom, this is without a doubt the definitive Allied
SMG that earned its recognition in the annals of 20th Century
history.

These
beautifully preserved Thompson M1A1s were discovered after being
stored and forgotten for over fifty years. The packing grease
they were covered in kept them looking arsenal fresh, and they
are now available for display or use on a movie set.

Like
all well-known WWII designs, the M1A1 Thompson SMG is becoming
exceedingly difficult to find. The war ended almost sixty years
ago after all and that means once plentiful supplies of surplus
weapons have all but dried up. We have a few of these in stock
and advise any interested (licensed) party to contact us without
delay: the M1A1s are liable to disappear as quickly as our
MP-40s.
