ArmiSport 1874 Sharps Falling Block Rifles
1874 Sharps Falling Block Rifles
No firearm is more closely associated with the great bison hunts of the 1870’s and 1880‘s
than the big bore single shot Sharps model 1874 – so much so that this model is sometimes
referred to as the ‘Old Reliable Buffalo Rifle.’ Like their Civil war paper cartridge
predecessors, the 1874 Sharps rifle’s immensely strong ‘falling block’ breech and solid
steel receiver made this cartridge-firing classic the quintessential big bore single shot
rifle of the late 19th century.
