1892 'Lever Action' Rifles

With over 1,000,000 originally produced between 1892 and 1941, the Winchester model 1892 lever action rifle was one of the most popular and advanced repeating rifle designs in the old West. More durable and easier to produce than its predecessors, the well-balanced fast-handling ’92 quickly became popular. A ‘take down’ version which disassembled into two pieces for convenience was also made available: both it and the standard model played an important part in establishing Winchester Repeating Arms as an enduring American legend.
