The TT33 (Tula Arsenal Tokarev design of 1933) was the Soviet army's issue sidearm during The Great Patriotic War and saw service in many Eastern bloc countries during the Cold War. Originally adopted in 1933 and produced in the Soviet Union, large numbers of Tokarev handguns were also produced in other communist countries such as Hungary, North Korea, Poland, Romania and Yugoslavia. China still produces different varieties of Tokarev pistols mainly for export (several of which are shown below).
