Important: NEVER send cash or endorsed traveller's cheques through the mail!
Attn. U.S. Clients: standard American postal money orders have 'valid in U.S. and possessions only' written on them. Canadian banks and financial institutions cannot cash these. When paying by money order please ensure you purchase an International Money Order. We accept the following forms of payment: major credit cards, Canadian or international money orders, and bank drafts. We do not accept personal or certified cheques. Click on any of the preceding links or scroll down for further information.
Visa, MasterCard, and American Express
We accept the three major credit cards listed above. Payment by credit card is often the quickest and most convenient method as doing so does not require sending funds buy mail.
Note: we must always invoice our clients in Canadian dollars. What this means is that U.S. and foreign clients who pay by credit card will have two amounts listed on their monthly statement: the purchase price in Canadian dollars along with what they were billed in their own currency.
Canadian and International Money Orders
Money orders may be made payable to Marstar Canada Inc. As mentioned previously, it is very important that U.S. and foreign clients who wish to pay by money order send only 'International Money Orders' in Canadian funds which can be cashed in Canada. These are generally available from most banks and post offices. Please understand we must return money orders we cannot cash - which means cancelling the order the non-negotiable money order was to pay for.
Bank Draft
Bank drafts may be made payable to Marstar Canada Inc. Bank drafts may be purchased from most financial institutions, which will when requested make out the draft in Canadian dollars. Again, U.S. and foreign clients are urged to check that the bank draft they purchase can be cashed in Canada.
Personal and Certified Cheques
We do not accept cheques because accepting this form of payment leaves us too vulnerable to forgery and fraud. We also do not wish to impose unreasonably long delays waiting for a client's cheque to clear the bank before shipping their order. Please do not send personal or certified cheques: they will be returned and the order will be cancelled.
